Sigg Jones
I still love this video as much as I did when I first saw it in 2006. It was created by three students for a final animation project.
Such great style and visuals and truly an inspiration.
I really like this piece by Dan Matutina. He’s a designer/illustrator from the Philippines and he created this rather striking image based on a folk legend.
Check out the rest of Dan’s work here.

Mr. Oizo made a movie. This is the teaser.
Wish Come True Festival
Last week Friends With You transformed a downtown Toronto park into Rainbow City. The colourful display included giant mushrooms, striped totems, floating friend-spheres, and inflatable interactive characters.
Wish I could have visited as it looked just magical.

Is a designer based in Rochester, NY.
You might have seen his work around before but both his published work and his blog are really interesting.
This City is Killing Me
For the uninitiated, Dusty Brown is an insanely talented Sacramento-based producer and musician who, along with his eponymous band, creates a sort of beat-centric clash between raw ambient-electronic and synth-driven indie rock.
It’s really good and completely free.
You can download the EP here.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World
4 player side scrolling beat-em-up for Ps3.
Check out the sweet art by Paul Robertson! Yeah!
Journey
Journey is a game about exploring a world covered with and flowing with sand. Players, as the spindly character wearing a red robe, can walk, run and jump around the world. They can “surf” down sand dunes, ride waves of rippling sand and even draw sketches in it with their feet. Chen confirms that people have already drawn penises in Journey’s sand.
One interesting game from E3 this year is called Journey from thatgamecompany who created both Fl0w and Flower for the Ps3. Both games play differently than your typical game and Journey is looking to continue that trend. Personally I just love the art style and think it looks fantastic so far.
Check out the interview with Chen from thatgamecompany for some vague gameplay details.

I think we can put our differences behind us, for science.
You monster.
Ken Ohyama lives in Japan and takes pictures of man made structures including buildings and industrial locations. He seems especially fond of elevated roads and underpasses.

Arcade Fire - Neon Bible
Live in an elevator a few years ago.
Their rad new single is out and it’s called The Suburbs.
Charles Bergquist created these beautiful videos to accompany the Viernes live show. This one was used as an introduction and features some awesome colors and a creepy squid.
Check out the rest of Charles work because it is fantastic.
POPBOT & BADBOT
I have a bit of a problem with Ashley Wood toys. The problem is that I buy too many of them and they are amazing. Today his toy company 3AA released a figure based on one of his better known comic characters, Popbot.
They’re available for pre-order now and come in two different flavors, Popbot and Badbot but be quick if your interested as they won’t be available for long.
Check out the previous releases at 3AA Toys.
